3 Easy ways to curb everyday expenses

Buying on an impulse can be addictive yet so satisfying on some level, but do instantly start to regret after? Do you feel like your savings are not going anywhere and there's always a shortage of funds?

Picture yourself if you skipped just one Grande Mocha Frappe a week and store that money aside for safe keeping. In a year you would have saved about $400 a side of unexpected expenses. Would it not be a better use of your funds in some form of investment plan?

Small purchases that cost less than a few dollars doesn't really make us stop to think, because of its low valuation. Those few dollars will slowly start to add up and quick thus costing you hundreds of dollars a month hence why your budget is not working.

Here are 3 great ways of reducing wastage in your everyday spending.

1) Paying for Shipping
Stop it, just stop it. Today many companies are offering free shipping and all you have to do is just meet the minimum spend requirement or a few days more. If you are going to shop online might as well take advantage of their free shipping options right?  Try to order a week before you need it and add a little something for yourself to get your order up to the minimum spend limit if needed. Do you really want to place an order at the last minute and pay for overnight delivery?

 2) Cancel subscriptions
Are you currently subscribe to any magazine, newspapers or entertainment services? The same services are widely available on their website or on other sites for free. News articles and stories are practically free almost everywhere hence you don't need to subscribe for a monthly fee. Calculate on how many subscriptions you are subscribed to, this can save you hundreds of dollar or more a year.

3) Paying to workout.
This is a bit subjective, comparing working out at home or out in the park versus a high paying gym you can find other ways to get your sweat on like classes through community groups. If you are into yoga or pilates buy a video or look for community classes where you have the option to pay per class.
Usually, it's a minimal fee and far less expensive than your regular membership, if you are into strength conditioning you can do by buying your own set of weights to do so.

Our last tip on how you can stop wasting money is to stop taking chances on "get rich quick" scheme.
Start off with a budget and regular savings and slowly work towards your goal, most of all stop wasting money gambling on lottery tickets or bets it just gets you nowhere.
